Robert Colon has attained the designation of Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®). This
designation, which is granted by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. covers subject areas of risk management, employee benefits planning, investment planning, income tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning. In addition to holding a CFP® designation, Rob went on to attain the Accredited Domestic Partner Advisor® (ADPA®) designation which focuses on planning for financial and medical end-of-life needs for domestic partners, for those clients for whom such planning would affect. The course of study encompasses wealth transfers, federal taxation, retirement planning, and planning for financial and medical end-of-life needs for domestic partners.
Robert Colon is an enrolled agent with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax return policies. Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before. Mr. Colon has been employed with an accounting firm for two years and in this capacity has worked in preparing personal, corporate, sales, and payroll tax returns as well as various bookkeeping responsibilities.
Prior to founding Legacy Care Wealth, LLC, Mr. Colon held the position of Vice-President of Wealth Management for an independent wealth management practice managing over $70 million of client assets. His responsibilities included reviewing and monitoring client accounts to identify gaps or deficiencies in their long-term financial plan. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with concentrations in Physics and Political Science from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA.
Prior to launching Legacy Care, Danna Jacobs was a Client Service Associate at
Barclays Wealth working with the top investment advisor at the firm from January 2010 to March 2013. Her responsibilities included responding to client inquires regarding investment management, account maintenance, tax issues, trust and estate administration, as well as assisting the sales team with equity offerings, and marketing alternative investment opportunities. Her team raised over $1.3 billion for private equity partnerships over a three-year period.
Ms. Jacobs also has attained the CFP® and ADPA® designations granted by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. In addition, she holds an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business, an internationally renowned business school. She completed her MBA with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship, which included coursework in Business Management, Accounting, Business Strategy, Corporate Finance and Business Planning. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College (Poughkeepsie, NY) with concentrations in Economics and Italian.
Danna Jacobs is a board member of the Student/Partner Alliance (S/PA), a non-profit organization that partners high school students from urban areas with both scholarships and mentors so they can attain a private high school education. She is also leading the development of a Young Professionals Network (YPN) at S/PA. Other non-profit organizations that Ms. Jacobs has worked with include Habitat for Humanities, Komen Race for the Cure, March of Dimes, and Streetwise Partners.
